Connected Together

(NL) Communiceren tijdens het wielrennen is niet altijd vanzelfsprekend en veroorzaakt soms zelfs onveilige situaties. ‘Connected Together’ onderzoekt alternatieve manieren van communiceren bij groepen van recreatieve wielrenners. Het resultaat is een draadloze, digitale communicatietool, gemonteerd op het fietsstuur. Door middel van een Natural User Interface, kan de wielrenner via iconen op een klein beeldscherm veilig communiceren met zijn mede-wielrenners.

(EN) Communicating during cycling is not always self-evident and sometimes even causes unsafe situations. ‘Connected Together’ explores alternative ways of communicating with groups of recreational cyclists. The result is a wireless digital communication tool mounted on the bicycle handlebars. By means of a Natural User Interface, the cyclist can safely communicate with his fellow cyclists via icons on a small screen.
