FLW-M3 surveillance camera

(NL) FLW-M3 surveillance camera is een interactieve installatie die voorbijgangers actief volgt. In tegenstelling tot de gebruikelijke verdoken opstelling wordt de beveiligingscamera hier centraal geplaatst. Het project tracht hiermee vragen op te roepen over de aanwezigheid en rol van beveiligingscamera’s in onze publieke ruimte. De installatie maakt gebruik van machine learning voor het realtime detecteren van menselijke figuren.

(EN) FLW-M3 surveillance camera is an interactive installation that actively follows passersby. In contrast to the usual concealed setup, here, the security camera takes centre stage. The project tries to raise questions on the presence and role of security cameras in our public space. The installation uses machine learning for real-time detection of human figures.
